Stephen Mangan (b. Edinburgh, 1964) is a Scottish contemporary artist known for his distinctive figurative work. He studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 1988, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in 1989.
Since then, his paintings have been exhibited widely in solo and group shows across the UK and internationally, including New York, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands. His richly imagined scenes - of racecourses, beaches, stations, fairgrounds, and theatres - invite viewers into worlds that feel both familiar and otherworldly.
Mangan’s paintings are held in numerous private and public collections worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
